One of the most useful chat features for your agents is that they can see the messages customers are typing out while they are still typing them. This allows them to predict what the customer wants to talk about, and allows them to answer questions much faster. This is called Psychic mode in LiveAgent, and unlike other chats, it’s not just the typing indicator, but the actual text that the customer is typing being shown in real time.
This feature allows your agents to surprise customers with lightning speed answers, as the agent can start typing his answer before the visitor has finished typing, since the answer is clear to the agent before the visitor hits the send button. This will speed up the time it takes to answer each chat query, allowing agents to handle more chats at one time.
On the customer’s side, they will only see a typing indicator, once the agent has started typing. Even if the answer is long, the customer will know that the agent is in the process of answering it.
